2009-2010 Life & Environmental Science Courses

We are happy to announce the Museum Science Education & Enrichment (MSEE) program for 2009-2010. MSEE is based on a three-year content cycle. The first year focuses on Earth & Space Science, the second on Life & Environmental Science, the third on Physical Science (Physics). Now entering its fifth year, MSEE will focus on Life & Environmental Science for 2009-2010.

Led by Jeff Rodgers, the museum’s Director of Education, classes combine group discussions, hands-on activities and museum and field studies for a broad look at life and ecosystems.  These courses are not designed as stand-alone curricula, but as supplements to a larger course of study. Jeff is happy to consult with you on an individual basis about the curriculum you are using.

Two levels of classes will be offered in 2009-2010

JUNIOR level will be appropriate for grades 3 – 6
and will meet from 1 pm to 2 pm

SENIOR level will be appropriate for grades 7 – 12
and will meet from 2:30 to 3:30

Classes will be held on the first and third Wednesday of each month beginning on October 7, 2009 and ending May 21, 2010.
All classes run for one hour
